I had the pleasure to work with Ory Schneor for three days which was for me the right amount of time to get some new ideas and explore new aspects of my flute playing. After a master's degree in flute I started to feel a bit stuck in my own routine and was never a hundred percent happy with my sound when playing quiet phrases. Ory was the first teacher in years who instructed and encouraged me to change my embouchure which is probably one of the biggest challenges. After one week with the new routine I feel more comfortable than ever with my sound and notice significant improvements in my high register as well as tonguing. Best investment in myself, thank you Ory!

  Ory’s course is fantastic. He is a patient and supportive teacher, and his system is clear, simple and accessible. Every aspect is separated out, so it can be worked on with a full focus. You get better control of your playing and tone production, fast results, and a better teaching method so you can help your students. I found the exercises for the lips especially helpful.   I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 day intensive masterclass with Ory. I felt that all the exercises we went over are going to improve aspects of my flute playing.   I have been following Ory Schneors page since quite a while. I have red his articles on technical subjects, in my opinion they are very good writings, watching his performances that I find very authentic to every style he plays in. And finally the time has come that i could actually book a private Masterclass with him. I took a 4 days long intensive Masterclass which exactly I was looking for, someone who only teach me for 2-3 hours a day. That is what I love. There is so little that you can do in only one hour class or summer course when you have 1 hour class per week, so I really enjoyed this private class. We were working on the lips flexibility. I am in the situation, that when I practice, certain colours and sounds are coming automatically, and even though I am practising flexibility exercises, there were some times when I was not able to reproduce a colour because I didn't find back to that embouchure. So Ory was most helpfully "torturing" 🤣 me with exercises (one particularly a killer) to help me. Its exactly like (as he also called it) going to the gym, working out with our lips and the muscles around it. Working on to be able to control and use them consciously. I really admire his patience, so I say an extra Thank You for that 😊 He is very friendly, great musician, and a wonderful teacher. Makes also a killer cheesecake and coffee 😉 Thank you Ory for this opportunity, I had a great time, keeping up with the exercises and truly appreciate the time I have spent there on your class. If I have the possibility, I will definitely book a class again! 😊

  Ory’s intensive warm-up routine course is just that, “intensive”. He covers all of the basics of tone and technique in unique ways that have resulted in marked improvement in my confidence and my ability to consistently get the sound I’m looking for. Ory’s style of teaching is informal and encouraging. I urge any flutist interested in improving their performance to take this course. As a bonus, his fee is very reasonable.

  The intensive masterclasses with Ory Schneor are such an innovative and effective way to improve your flute playing over a short period of time. I have returned home after five days with a transformed flute tone, new possibilities of expression and flexibility, and a practice regime to take this development even further. Ory's own playing is inspiring, his teaching is clear and knowledgeable, and he is willing to address the fundamentals of good tone, articulation and phrasing in great detail.   I highly recommend Ory's three day one-on-one hourly master classes. Throughout each session, he was able to quickly analyze, diagnose and make suggestions for improvement using fresh ideas and analogies. It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from repertoire for a bit and focus solely on tone production. I will definitely sign up again in the future for a refresher session!

  This was my first masterclass in a foreign country, and I honestly did not know how this was going to go. Ory made my stay there welcoming. He made sure that everyone doing the masterclass was comfortable. Ory helped me with my graduate recital repertoire, and gave me really good tips on how to interpret them. Ory explained concepts very well; I was not confused at what he meant. I now have a great headstart at my recital rep because of him. I loved how I could watch my colleague's masterclass and learn from her's. Oh, did I also mention his coffee and his cheesecakes are delicious? I would recommend this masterclass to any Flutist. It is worth the money.
