Ory’s class was definitely all new and enlightening! He encouraged me to change quite a lot of my embouchure positioning. This was incredibly difficult and awkward, but his recommendations worked! Each day became easier. Ory’s instructions were clear and concise, and I appreciated his demonstrations to go along with the instructions. As I have continued to implement the exercises, after one week, I am achieving a new sound, much more depth and resonance I didn’t really know I was missing in its full potential, and experiencing freedom all around in my playing.   I was so excited by the opportunity to work with Ory. I have found his suggestions and guidance to be especially helpful for the orchestral flutist. I truly enjoyed trying many new ways of phrasing and articulating the excerpts. He is a patient teacher and is very good at explaining how to execute a new idea. He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with and I would recommend him to any flutist looking to try new ways to improve. I loved my 6 am lessons!

  I have just finished Ory's three day warm up lessons.....and I only wish I had done so earlier! Ory is a patient, clear, very knowledgeable teacher. The lessons were very focused and each one developed further on the previous one. Ory was very detailed in his tuition and I saw improvements from the first class. He has left me with plenty to work on but he also provided all the notes and course work I need to continue exploring his lessons further. I can highly recommend these lessons to anyone who wants to develop their playing and push themselves further, or if you are stuck or directionless in your practice.   I did the warm up course in December and every day now, I play and think about and use the ideas and approaches Ory introduced me to. It was incredible how much we covered in the 3 sessions and I regularly go back to my notes (and his) and think about various aspects. I'm so happy to have found Ory and his approach.
